Info
Traffic stops offer a variety of content. Sometimes suspects run, other times they will comply. Each suspect can have different flags or different things they have done wrong. You can run plates, run drivers licenses, frisk suspects, BAC test suspects, detain in vehicle, impound, and even arrest them!
Preparation
- Set your ALPR keybind via
ESC > Settings > Key Bindings > FiveM > Police:ALPR Toggle
- This allows you to turn on the Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) to start traffic stops.
Initiating
- To start a Traffic Stop, drive up behind an NPC car and press [J] to initiate the traffic stop.
- It will say "Traffic Stop initiated" or "You cannot stop this vehicle. They did nothing wrong!"
- If it says "Traffic Stop initiated", you can continue on with the stop. If it doesn't, you have to find a different vehicle to pull over.
- Best way to go about it is to get behind a vehicle, use your Plate Reader (ALPR) and look at the NPC's flags, which will determine if you can pull them over or not.
Questions
- Ask for Drivers License?
- Ask if they had anything to drink?
- Do you have anything illegal?
- Please enter/exit the vehicle for me?
