    • Line of Sight is required!
  • Everytime you arrest a player, you get paid some money.

Getting Started | Player vs Environment

Head on Duty, buy and spawn a Vehicle

Set necessary Keybinds

  • You need to set two keybinds in order to do AI Traffic Stops. Navigate to GTA Settings - Keybinds - FiveM and search for the following keybindings:
    • POLICE: ALPR Keybind
    • POLICE: Traffic Stop Keybind
  • Now set those two options to any key you want. Preferably keys that are not used by anything else yet.

Enable Plate Reader (ALPR)

  • Press the key you bound for POLICE: ALPR Keybind, which will enable the Automatic License Plate Reader.
  • Now the car you are driving will always scan the license of the vehicle infront of you and tell you various information about the car/driver.

Initiate Traffic Stop

  • You need to have a reason to stop the vehicle infront of you.
    • The License Plate Reader will tell you if the driver is wanted or if something is wrong with the vehicle.
    • For Example: If the Plate Reader tells you that the driver is CLEAN but the license is EXPIRED, you can proceed to stop the vehicle.
  • To do that, you press the key you set for POLICE: Traffic Stop Keybind and then enable your emergency lights to initiate.
    • The car you stopped, either stops, or starts running from you.

Evaluate the Stopped / Do the Traffic Stop

  • Your main Traffic Stop menu will be F5 - Police, which has various options you can use.
    • Ask for ID, Warn, Ticket, Detain, Handcuff, Detain in Vehicle, Frisk, Tow Vehicle, Search Vehicle, Grab, Arrest, Release
  • To complete a Traffic Stop, you need to find out what the stopped person has done wrong;
    • Such as, they are wanted when you Ask for ID, or they have a bag of cocaine if you Search Vehicle, etc.
  • So basically you just complete various options from the Police Menu and find any illegal activity.
  • If you don't find any illegal activity, you release the person by selecting Release.
  • If there is illegal acitivity, you detain and arrest the suspect:
    • To detain you need to select Detain, and to get them into your vehicle, you select Detain in Vehicle.
    • Now to arrest them, drive to a PD Jail ... , get them out of the car with Detain, Grab, walk as near as you can to the green jail blip, select Grab again and then select Arrest.
      • Note: You need to take the suspect to the actual cell area at Mission Row PD!
