Requirements

• Hatchet >> PDA - Store - Weapons
• Lumber Vehicle >> PDA - Store - Trailers

Getting Started

Equipment

• Buy the Lumber Vehicle and a Hatchet from the Store.

Go to a trailer spawn

• You can only spawn your Lumber Truck at a trailer spawn.
  • Tip: Go to the trailer spawn at Paleto Bay (marked with a pink trailer icon)

Equip the hatchet

• To equip the hatchet, go to PDA - Player - Inventory and press "Equip" if its not already.

Lumber Zone

• With your Lumber Truck, drive to the Lumber Zone in the Paleto Forest.
• This is the location where you will be able to lumber trees.

Cutting down trees

• Equip your hatchet though the weapon wheel, its under melee weapons.
• Go to a tree right next to the Lumber Zone icon, the range is not big.
• If the tree you're looking at says "Press E to chop this tree", press E and wait till it falls.
• Once it fell, it will say "Press E to chop this tree into logs", press E and wait till it disappears.
• Lastly, press E to collect the cut logs.
  • Note: At level 5 Hatchet you can Toggle AutoChop. Press F5 - Forage - Lumber Options - Toggle AutoChop to enable/disable.

• The amount of trees you chopped will be shown in F5 - Inventory - Foraging Bag
  • The logs will save in your inventory!
  • Don't forget to Update Inventory Information!

Crafting from your logs

• Must have hatched level 5+ and be around your lumber truck
• Press F5 - Forage - Lumber Options - Craft Planks and enter the amount of logs you want to craft into Planks.
  • Update Forage Information first!

• The Craft Service Price is shown in the same menu and it will change every hour.

Hatchet Durability

• When you reach 0 durability you will not be able to collect logs
  • F5 - Forage - Lumber Options - Repair Hatchet for $50,000

Selling your logs & planks

• Drive your truck to the Smeltery in South East LS (same icon as the Lumber Zone)
• Park it near the entrance and get out.
• Press F5 - Forage - Lumber Options - Sell Logs (for Logs) / Sell Planks and enter the amount of logs/planks you want to sell.
  • Update Forage Information first!

• The Service Price is shown in the same menu and it will change every hour.

Hatchet Upgrades

Where to Upgrade?

• You can upgrade your hatchet in F5 - Forage - Lumber Options - Upgrade Hatchet
  • Update Forage Information to see the Hatchet Upgrade Price!

What does it do?

• Hatchet upgrades will only increase the yield and the price to upgrade scales with every upgrade.
• Hatchet level 5 unlocks AutoChop, Craft Planks 1 log = 2 planks with scaling service fee
